You may not realize it, but you may be committing a few mistakes while washing
your hair. We have compiled some of the most common mistakes people commit.
Read on and try to tweak your shower routine for a more manageable and
healthy-looking hair.

Washing it everyday
Stylists believe that our hair is at its best when the natural oil reaches the ends.
Thus, they recommended washing your hair every other day or at least twice a
week.

If your strands start to get a bit greasy, you can spray your roots with water or dry
shampoo and style it using a blow-dryer.

Switching up shampoos

Most people believe that switching shampoos could help them achieve
healthier-looking hair. However, experts believe that it is best to find the shampoo
that works for you and stick with it.

You hair might not be able to tell the difference between those hair products but it
is important to find that product that works best for you. Also, if you have oily hair
and you use waxy hair products on a regular basis, then it would be best to
incorporate a clarifying shampoo into your shower routine at least once or twice a
month to wash away the residues.

Skipping the conditioner

If you wish to have a shinier hair, conditioning your hair every time you wash is
recommended. Conditioners help reduce breakage and cuts down friction when you
brush your hair.

Since shampoo could be harsh to your hair, conditioning your hair without
shampooing could also be a great alternative. While conditioner may not be able to
cleanse your hair like most shampoo does, it would still leave your hair looking and
feeling nice.

Warm showers could open up your hair cuticles; thus, allowing shampoo and
conditioner to perform their job. Meanwhile, cold water could close up your hair’s                                                                             cuticles and seal in moisture. As a result, you’ll be rewarded with shiny and
healthy-looking hair. If cold shower doesn’t sound appealing to you, you can pour 2 cups of water mixed
with a cup of apple cider vinegar over your hair after you shower. Vinegar helps
remove dandruff and product build-up from your scalp.
